We're accepting submissions up through 11:59pm CST on September 9, 2017.

Never run a panel before? No problem! The stakes are low and the Podfication crowd is super chill. If you've got a topic you want to talk about with people for an hour, you can run a panel! Interested in running a demo, game, or event instead? No problem! Submit your idea through the same form and tell us all about it.

A few things to be aware of:

• You can submit more than one idea!


• If we run out of space and you've submitted more than one idea, we may have to choose between them. So if there's one topic you favor over others let us know!


• Have an idea but don't want to run it alone? Drop a comment on this thread asking for co-panelists!


• Would you like to help run a panel but don't have a good topic of your own? Check the comments!

Some more relevant info:

• We'll have a screen, projector, and speakers for the panel room, but you'll have to provide your own laptop or other device to connect up to it. The projector has a VGA input. If your device exports through HDMI, we've got an adapter for that you can borrow. If all you need is audio, as long as your device has a standard audio jack you're good.

Okay, so podfic history isn't catching peoples' interest. New pitch: panel about podfic permission. We could skim past the stuff that's been discussed before (I could give a quick run-down of the history and people could add on as needed) and then spend most of our time on the stuff that's not yet resolved, that's gray area, and share out different ideas and perspectives without any risk of attracting trolls. Fun? Still too already-been-covered? I know that I have plenty of thoughts and questions and wonderings that are at least somewhat updated from the last time the fandom had a big conversation about this.

Okay, you've talked me into Podficcing Without a Script! I have no experience with oral notfic myself, but I think you're right that a big chunk of the panel would be that, so I'd need a comod. Maybe I could talk reena_jenkins into it!

Podfic twister is still kind of in beta, since we've only played it once, but it was SO FUN, and I am excited for us to tweak the rules a bit based on that and test it out again at Podfic Summer Sizzle. And then PODFICATION HERE WE COME!

I will absolutely definitely comod Podficcing Without A Script, I'm super into that and have a bunch of experience.

I like the idea of a permission panel. It's been long enough since we had a big discussion about that, and it'd be nice to do in a meetspace place that isn't written down to attract wank.

Totally legit. And fwiw, I'd put Podficcing Without A Script higher than other panels I am comodding on my priority list.
