We're accepting submissions up through Saturday, September 7, 2019 @ 11:59pm CDT.

Never run a panel before? No problem! The stakes are low and the Podfication crowd is super chill. If you've got a topic you want to talk about with people for an hour, you can run a panel! Interested in running a demo, game, or event instead? No problem! Submit your idea through the same form and tell us all about it.

A few things to be aware of:

• You can submit more than one idea!


• If we run out of space and you've submitted more than one idea, we may have to choose between them. So if there's one topic you favor over others let us know!


• Have an idea but don't want to run it alone? Drop a comment on this thread asking for co-panelists! Or let us know and we can put the call out on social media for you.


• Would you like to help run a panel but don't have a good topic of your own? Check the comments!

Some more relevant info:

• We'll have a screen, projector, and speakers for the panel room, but you'll have to provide your own laptop or other device to connect up to it. It's a newish one so we're double checking on the inputs for it, but it will definitely take HDMI. All other formats are up in the air at the moment but reach out if you've got a question about a specific one. If all you need is audio, as long as your device has a standard 3.5mm audio jack you're good.

I've really loved running 'Guess That Voice' in past years, but since I'm moving in September and I know my life is going to be chaotic leading up to that and after I don't feel confident that I'd actually have the time to make a new clip (or clips) of all attendees like I have in past years. I do have three years of clips I've used in the past (which have some overlap with each other) and I could just pull from those, but I don't know how strongly people would want to hear new stuff, since maybe guessing would be too easy if it's all recycled?

If someone else wants to take on running this I'd be happy to send all the clips I have already and you can work out the rest/new stuff?

Awesome! If you're willing that'd be super neat. I could send you the clips I have and you can decide how you want to handle new clips for this year and I can not worry about any of that \o/ Would you want to submit the panel proposal? Or I could do so but name you as panelist?

I am planning on doing the fandom osmosis podfic exchange again, since I thought that was really fun, and it's still doable with my schedule constraints since I won't have to do particular prep for it.

I can submit the proposal! My email for the clips is shmaylorp @ gmail. I think my plan will be to do new clips, but if things go sideways time-wise, I'll have those to use too.

Panel on Multivoice podfics - focusing mostly on the "massive multivoice" type but touching on other types. Talking about everything from fic choice to how to find people for the voices to how to record (different methods) to how to edit everything into a cohesive whole. If interest is there and time permits we can talk about other types of multivoice (in person, not!fic, etc) and extras like sound effects. I'm down to run this panel alone but would also welcome a partner if anyone wants to.

Oh awesome! I was actually about to suggest that someone do a multivoice panel. I've done lots of in-person multivoice, but never the type where everyone sends you a separate file. I'm super interested to hear from you about it!

wow is this reply late! I'm so sorry I didn't reply earlier. I had already submitted it when you replied and then just... forgot. about everything. I'm sorry! It's going to be a pretty informal brainstormy type panel so if you attend you'll definitely get to contribute lots!

I can talk about this (and have in the past) but I think I would need a co-mod as that I'm not sure I could make a whole panel out of it?

As long as I don't have to clip/run things I'd be happy to co-mod since I ran a panel on this same topic previously and it was fun. I just know I 100% don't have time to prepare anything what with the chaos of moving that is consuming my life right now and the future of unpacking chaos laying on my horizon.
