Mini Location Tour
Here's some additional information on our venue, for those of you that are curious about what kind of space we'll be working with.
The Geek Partnership Society's "Event Horizon" community center is located in the Waterbury Building in Minneapolis. It's hard to miss as it's large and red and looks like this but without the yellow banner thing:

Lots of other organizations have offices and spaces in it. The entrance closest to our space is around the back of the building:

We'll be using rooms 106 and 106A, the entrances to which are immediately on your right after entering via the back door:

Restrooms are further down the hall around the corner from here.
In 106, there's a couch seating area for hanging out and chatting comfortably.

(Not featured: The room's 20 foot ceiling)
There's also a small kitchenette and some vending machines nearby.

(Please do not expect a lot out of the vending machines and do not disturb the dragon head.)
We'll also have access to room 106A, which can be accessed either through the hallway or the interior door connecting it to 106.

In the immediate area, Spyhouse Coffee is on the East side of Central Ave for your caffeination needs, and there's an Uncle Franky's (burgers, hot dogs, and hot sandwiches) within walking distance down Broadway St to the West for food. There are also some really great restaurants to the North up Central Ave that you can get to by car or bus. I'm a big fan of Sen Yai Sen Lek Thai in particular.
Probably we'll have a more comprehensive restaurant guide further down the road and an actual map of the building and nearby stuff.
